Tick Tock Black & White Clock Cake

Hello crafters!

So happy to finally post this brand new miniature cake which I started working on Saturday and finished it Sunday.  I was actually specifically making it for a Tick Tock crafts weekend challenge on the app, Crafty Amino.  A clock cake had automatically came into my mind along with the idea of Alice In Wonderland after I saw the challenge.  So that's what I decided to make!

I had originally drawn out a whole extravagant Alice in Wonderland, Clock cake idea.  It didn't work out as planned, so instead I stuck to a simple black & white clock cake.

First, I rolled out a ball of white clay, flattened it, and cut out a cake piece.  Next, I used a needle to flake the inside of the cake & cake piece.  It took about 30 minutes to flake, but turned out pretty impressive.  Once I had flaked the cake, I used a permanent black marker around the bottom inside the cake & cake piece to look like and Oreo cookie bottom crust.  Then, I used a mixture of Puffy Paint & Simulation cream on the outside of the cake.  After the first coat dried, I used the same black marker to draw on the clock numbers.  Then, I added another coat of whipped cream icing.

After that, I used black, confetti glitter and white Puffy Paint to paint the clock hands.  I also tried using it to give an almost 3D black & white effect in the middle of the cake.  The confetti glitter was mixed with Black Puffy Paint, so it might not be too visible in the pictures, but don't worry!  It is there!  Finally, I added 4 checker cookies to top off the cake!  The checker cookies were actually checker pieces I had leftover from when I made my Cheshire cat awhile ago.

Anyways, I hope you like it!

Red Velvet Cake Slices

Hello again crafters!

Here with us now are two delicious pieces of miniature red velvet cake slices!

I made them back during November or December, but haven't been able to post them since these adorable cake slices have been canceling their last few interviews due to being snowed in.  But luckily they finally came to tell us all about themselves!

These were actually a bit easier to make than I expected.  First, I just got out a piece of red velvet colored clay & split it into two pieces.  Next, I used my fingers to shape both pieces into a triangle cake slice shape.  Then, I got out some white clay, flattened it, and cut out 2 perfectly straight strips of clay.  After that, I carefully placed one of the white strips in the middle on both sides of one of the cake slices.  I did the same thing with the other cake slice.

Then, I used a needle (toothpick works just as well) to flake both sides of both cake slices.  After that, I used a toothpick to slightly texture & flatten the white icing.  Finally, I glued the pieces to a mini plate!

Took awhile to flake, but it was really worth it!

I hope you like it!

Pom-Pom Icecream!

Hello crafters!

Today I'm excited to post a bit of a fluffy mini!

Why fluffy?  Well a few weeks ago, once I had finished making some ice cream cones out of clay, I saw some pom-pom balls!  I wasn't exactly in the mood to use clay that day & finish making the ice cream, so I was wondering if I could used a pom-pom on a mini ice cream cone to give a strawberry ice cream look.

I decided to try it.  Was actually pretty easy, I had just glued the pom-pom ball to the ice cream cone & it was finished!  Not much of a realistic look, but if you just want something fluffy with the idea of ice cream on a cone it will work!

A few pictures while I was gluing it & once it was finished:

I hope you liked it!

Blueberry, Strawberry, Raspberry & Orange Fruit Cake

Hello crafters!

I'm super excited to finally post this delicious mini fruit cake cake, flavored with blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, and orange!

I'm pretty sure I could do much better now on this type of mini cake.  This was actually one of my first miniature cakes that I made a few years ago.

I had actually it made out of polymer clay.  Once it was cooked, I used acrylic paints to give it the pretty colors.  After that, I coated the cake.

Not exactly sure what flavors the cake was supposed to be, but I'm guessing it might've been blueberry, strawberry, raspberry & orange,

Well, I hope you like it!

Relaxing Tiger Sketch

Hello crafters & artists!

Been sketching a bit more lately during the time when I'm not making new crafts.  Was working on a new sketch yesterday centered around the majestic & beautiful tiger!  I think it turned out pretty good.

Took a few hours to sketch.  Was basically just studying a photo of a tiger while sketching it to help make it look a bit more realistic.   After drawing the tiger, I started drawing the sofa swing, balcony, food & water bowls, and a little bird soaring in the beautiful sky.  I also tried slightly brushing over various parts with my pencil for shadows.

A bit challenging to draw the tiger at first.  Was pretty easy after I had an idea of what I was planning to draw though.

I hope you like it!

Golden Clay Cross Necklace

Good morning crafters!!!  Been a few days since my last post, so many craft ideas, yet so little time to do them!

Today I'm super excited to show this beautiful golden cross necklace I made a few weeks ago!

I had actually just finished it late on Christmas Eve since I had made it as a Christmas gift for someone.  Took a few hours to make.  The hardest part of it that I would say was attaching it to the necklace chain.

I actually made the cross using white clay.  To attach the chain to the cross, I just tried to wrap the top of the cross around it before the clay was dried.  Once it had dried, I used a bit of gold acrylic paint & gold Puffy Paint to paint the cross.  I coated it about 5 times with the gold paints to make sure none of the white clay would be visible.

After drying for a few hours, it turned out pretty good.  I hope you like it!

Happy New Year 2018 Gold Paint Charm

Hello crafters!

A few days later on posting this than I originally planned, but here it is!  My "Happy New Year 2018" charm!  Perfect on a bracelet or a necklace!

It was actually pretty easy to make.  After I had finished painting a craft on Christmas Eve, I had some leftover paint and forgot to store it.  It had dried on a plastic surface.  About a day after New Years Day, I peeled the dried gold paint pieces off of the plastic.  Even though it might not seem usable, I save all pieces of dried paint since every now and then, it comes in handy (like how I used dried white paint for my white holiday cake on a prep board).

Anyways, one of the paint pieces I peeled off was dried gold Acrylic paint, and the another was dried gold Puffy Paint.  I ended up wondering if I could put them together.  So, I placed the Puffy Paint piece on top of the bigger acrylic paint piece & used a toothpick to push them together.  Since the back side of the Puffy Paint piece was a bit sticky from not being 100% dry, the pieces stuck together.  Glue would've also probably worked.

Once they were stuck together, I used a permanent marker to write "Happy New Years!" and "2018" on it.  Finally, I used a toothpick to burrow a hole into the top of the piece of paint.  It is finally finished!

I hope you like it!

Catgirl Climbing A Wall Sketch

Hello crafters!

I'm super excited to post this brand new sketch I just finished drawing a few minutes ago!

It's actually a sketch I made with Catgirl climbing the side of a building.  You might be wondering "Who is Catgirl?".  She's actually a character I recently made up, part human, part cat.  She has super speed, can stick to walls, super hearing, super sense of smell, a tail that can stretch across countries, and even flaming hairballs!

I started off sketching the drawing by placing a piece of paper on top of a picture of myself dressed as a cat, and using it to help start sketching.  After that, I just basically started editing & adding the building, bigger cat ears, and a longer tail.  Along with editing it a bit more & adding windows onto the building.

Been working on it for about 2 hours but it turned out pretty good!  Still need to work on drawing more detailed faces though.

I hope you like it!

WIP Mardi Gras King Cake

Hello crafters!

Although New Years has passed so soon, there are still many holidays to craft for!   So at the moment, I'm working on some brand new Valentines & Mardi Gras minis!

After a giant micro bead avalanche earlier last night, a ton of my organized micro beads got mixed up.  Instead of picking them up & trying to organize them, I decided to try making a new mini food with them!

Didn't feel like working with clay yesterday, even though I had wanted to make a Mardi Gras inspired cake.  So I decided to try making it out of the micro beads that had dropped during the avalanche.  I ended up making a mixture of micro beads, Puffy Paint, and glue! I mixed them all together and waited a few minutes. Once the mixture had dried enough to shape, I used a toothpick, & straw to shape the mixture into a Mardi Gras King Cake Shape!

It's not finished yet, planning to finish it soon!  Still have to paint the cake a brown bread color & add green, gold & purple sprinkles.  It is turning out pretty good so far.  And don't worry, none of the micro beads were injured in the avalanche!

I hope you like it!

Hot Dog In A Dog Bun!

Hello crafters!

A few weeks ago while looking at pictures of real food, I saw these adorable hot dogs in a bun, with the bun being decorated to look like an adorable little puppy face!

I just couldn't resist making my own version of these in mini form. So, that's exactly what I did!

Let's start off with making the hot dog & bun!
First, I used beige clay to start working on the buns.  I just rolled the clay out & shaped it into a circle shape. Next, I rolled out the hot dog. I mixed black clay with red clay to make a dark maroon colored clay. Then, I used my hands to roll it back and forth into a perfect hot dog shape. After that, I glued the hot dog into the middle of the bun and folded it over. Then, I used a toothpick to shape out the ears. After that, I used a toothpick, dipped it in black Puffy Paint, and used it to dot the eyes and nose. Finally, I had used red & yellow Puffy Paint, spread it inside the bun & glued the hot dog bun to the plate.

Onto the fries & ketchup!

To make the fries, I just rolled out some fried yellow colored clay i had mixed awhile ago. Next, I placed it on a flat surface and flattened it to the thickness I wanted. After that, I just sliced them into the perfect french fry shape & mini size!  Then, I glued each of them to the place. Finally, I added a bit more red Puffy Paint to look like ketchup!

I hope you like it!

Pink Icing Square Star Cake

Hello crafters!

A few weeks ago I started working on a new delicious yummy strawberry pink icing heart cake.  Took a little while to make the cake, but it ended up turning out adorable!

To make it, I started off by using a square piece of foam for the base.  First, I frosted it with some delicious looking pink frosting.  I had used a mixture of Caulk and pink Puffy Paint to make the frosting.  Next, I slightly used a toothpick to make it look a bit whipped & textured.  Finally, I had decided to try adding a few toppings on the top of the cake.  I used some pretty star decorations, which are actually supposed to be used for nail art, to decorate the top.  I added the silver & purple stars by using a toothpick to pick them up and place them in the perfect places.

Was so fun to create!  I hope you like it!

Bread Loaf In A Clay Basket

Hello crafters!

A few months ago I was working on making some beautiful mini clay baskets & a loaf of mini bread.  Been meaning to post it for the last few months but haven't had time.

Well luckily I finally found the time!  So now onto how I created the basket & bread!

It took awhile to make.  First, I just got a big ball of light yellow-beige clay, and tried to shape it around my fingers.  I just basically kept shaping it until it seemed like it was the perfect shape.  Then, I used a bottle top and a toothpick to make almost a ring looking texture around it.  After that, I used a toothpick to try and shape the top of the basket a bit.  Finally, I had brushed the basket with chalk trying to make it look like more of a basket color.  Instead it turned out to almost look like a burnt basket, but it still looks pretty good.

Now onto the bread loaf!

The bread loaf was actually easy to make.  I just used some beige clay, shaped it into a similar shape of a loaf of french bread, and used a toothpick to add 3 small lines in the middle on the top of the loaf.   After that, I brushed it with chalk. Seems the dolls left the bread cooking a bit too long also!

I hope you like it!

Blueberry Peppermint Cake

Good morning crafters!

Never exactly finished posting every single holiday mini that I had made during the month of December, so throughout the rest of the week I will be posting the rest of my miniature holiday food!

Right now, I have a new delicious mini blueberry peppermint cake! She arrived a bit late to the interview due to being snowed in, but luckily she finally made it!

I had originally saw some pictures of beautiful blueberry cakes with white icing a few weeks ago.  After that, I was thinking to make a white cream icing blueberry cake.

To start making it, I used a thick circle piece of foam for the base of the cake.  Next, I just covered it with some pretty white clay.  Then, I used a toothpick to slightly put indents around the side to make it look more like icing.  After that, I got some blue clay, tore off a few pieces, and rolled them until they were the perfect shape and size.  I had then attached them to the top of the cake.  They aren't my best blueberries though, I had forgot to use a needle or toothpick to poke a hole into each blueberry.  But, they were good enough . . .

I was actually planning to leave it at just a blueberry & white icing cake.  But a few weeks later, I decided that it needed something else.  Then, I ended up adding blue sun catcher paint onto the top and sprinkling a few pieces of broken up blueberry peppermint sticks.

Was pretty fun to make.  I hope you like it!😀😀

DIY How To Make Miniature Donuts Using Beads

Hello crafters!

Over the last few months I have been working on a tutorial which I`m so excited to finally reveal!  It was originally planned to be a video but turns out the video has been glitching so a picture tutorial just seems much better, easier & faster to post!

Lately, I have been working on making even more miniature donuts and decided to try & see if it was possible to make dollhouse miniature donuts by using only beads & Puffy Paint.  I wasn't sure if it would actually work, but luckily it did!  They took a little while but didn't turn out too bad, so I decided to give a quick picture tutorial tutorial!

Here it is!

Not the best mini donuts.  I honestly would prefer my clay donuts, but if you just want the illusion, then I'd say it works pretty well!  I hope you liked it!

1:24 Scale 2018 Pillow!

Hello crafters! I can't believe it is officially 2018!

Because the beginning of 2017 is so exciting, yesterday morning I wanted to make a mini craft to celebrate! After seeing a picture of a pretty red & gold New Years inspired dress a few days ago, I decided to make some type of red & gold miniature out of fabric. I also just couldn't get the idea of a pillow with the year 2018 sewed on it out of my head. I figured to combine both ideas, and start trying a few different ways to make a pillow.

Was originally using my sewing machine to make the pillow, but the gold thread I was using kept getting tangled, so instead I hand-sewed it. I started by sewing the main ends of the pillow & adding stuffing inside. After that, I triple stitched the borders of the pillow to make the gold thread visible. Finally, I slightly stitched the 2, 0, 1, and 8 with the gold thread. Was super tiny & my first time ever stitching words or numbers onto something, so I'm pretty surprised it turned out as well as it did.

Took over 3 hours to make & fits perfect for 1:24 scale dolls.

I hope you like it! Happy New Year!

Best Crafts Of 2017

Hello crafters!

It's already New Years Eve!!! I can't believe it! Been planning to make a "best crafts of the year" post for awhile.  But after noticing yesterday that today was already New Years Eve, I just had to hurry and finish getting my post prepared. Now here are my . . . . . . . .  .. 12 Best Crafts of 2017!

Well after posting making more than 200 crafts this year, it gets a bit hard to choose from all of them! But of course, there always seems to be a few that stand out from all of the other crafts and makes it an easier decision to make, so let's start off with . . .

 - Minnie & Micky Mouse Crafty Picnic! -

] This craft was so fun to create! It took so many hours to make and add the perfect details. I made all of it out of clay except for the white plastic packages with mini clay oozing out. Using clay and paint to draw and make Mickey & Minnie's faces was probably the hardest part. Had actually originally made it for a Crafty Amino launch Image Entry back during May.

-Tropical Volcano -

Back in April when there was a super fun Polynesian Crafts Weekend Challenge on Crafty Amino, I created this beautiful volcano! I had used hardened clay pieces for the rocks and toothpicks to make it look like lava coming out of the volcano. I had also mixed red air-dry clay with water to easily spread it onto the volcano so it would look like lava once it dried.

- Leopard & Habitat -
This was actually made for the Into The Wild Crafts Weekend Challenge and was the second Crafty Amino weekend challenge I ever participated in. I made the leopard and its whole habitat out of clay. Used black Puffy Paint and sun catcher paint to add the spots. Made it back in April 2017.

- Inspired By Disney Descendants Items -

I used some clay to make this little table with 5 items inspired by the Disney movie, Descendants. I made the apple to represent Evie, Long Live Evil sign for Mal, the crossed red and black dog bones to represent Carlos, a golden cobra for Jay, and a yellow & blue crown to represent King Ben. Made this for the Magical Crafts Weekend Challenge on Crafty Amino back in May.

- Mini Mech-X4 -

Made this adorable miniature version of the Mech-X4 robot from the Disney show, Mech-X4. Used white air-dry clay to make it and Puffy Paint to add all of the colors, details and mini robot parts. Hasn't been too long since it was made, I just made it back in November.

 - Hickory Dickory Dock Clock With Mice -

I had actually made this beautiful clock back during June for the Nursery Rhymes Crafts Weekend Challenge on Crafty Amino.  It took a few hours to make but worked out really well. I used brown, black and grey clay to make it while using popsicle sticks for the base so it stands up. I had used puffy Paint to repaint the brown clay to look like wood and painted on the clock & numbers. I also made a few little mice to go with it since it was inspired by the nursery rhyme, Hickory Dickory Dock.

- Beauty and the Beast Rose -

I just love Disney's Beauty and the Beast so much that I decided to try creating a mini rose inspired by the enchanted rose in the movie! It took hours to make. I used a needle, toothpick, and paintbrush to texture the rose. I also had used a bit of sun catcher paint to make it a little glossy. Made it back during June.

- Christmas Leopard Santa Hat & Leopard Stocking -

(For some reason my gallery is glitching and I can't get crafty to open the image. You can see a picture of the stocking & hat on the Best of 2017 picture at the first of this post.) Hand-sewed this mini Christmas Santa hat & stocking. Used red felt and some pretty leopard fabric to make it. Each took about 2 hours long to make. Really loved the end product, perfect size for a 1:12 scale doll! Made this craft during December 2017.

- Kitty in a Pumpkin -

Created this craft during Halloween, so made it back in October 2017. Took some hours to make the pumpkin, candy, and the cute little black kitty! I had actually mixed orange air dry clay with Tacky glue and water to make a sticky and semi-liquid substance to look like liquid pumpkin ooze. Was really fun to make!

- Candy Crush Color Bomb Charms -

This was a really fun craft to make! Being a huge fan of candy crush and playing it for over 2 years, I just love anything themed Candy Crush! It was actually easy to make though, I just used brown clay to roll a brown ball and stuck other little colorful balls onto it. After adding the perfect amount of colorful balls, it was finished! Had made this craft back in July.

- Holiday Cake & Prep Board -

Was actually my first ever mini food I have created with a prep board. Took a few hours to make the cake out of clay & use beads & paint to decorate it. I had used just a small piece of white fabric for the napkin and just cut out a piece of plastic into the perfect shape for the knife. Made this during December.

- Miniature Chihuahua -

And my for my final craft . . . my mini chihuahua! I had made her as a Christmas gift for someone who loves chihuahuas! Took hours to perfectly paint her, and add all of the extra details, but was totally worth it! Had made it during December for one of my 12 Days of Crafts posts!

I started typing out this post early this morning right after I woke up during New Years Eve, but somehow I'm just now finishing it and it is already a few hours into 2018! Guess this is my first post in 2018!

I hope you liked them! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!🎉🎉🎉
