Working On A New Mini Cake . . . With My Eyes Closed!

Hello crafters!

Haven't posted in a few days due to being super busy making new miniature items & preparing them to be listed in my Ebay shop. But, I'm finally back!

Today I'm actually just about to work on another miniature cake. This time though, it's a bit different. After seeing a Truth or Dare crafting challenge on the app, Crafty Amino, I decided I just had to try some of the dares!

One of the dares were to try crafting something with your eyes closed, so that's exactly what I'm about to try! I'm planning to make a delicious dark chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and a strawberry on top! Just got together my paints, decorations, and a white cake to color.

A bit nervous, but super excited to see how long it will take me to accomplish this challenge with a perfectly pretty miniature cake. Hoping it comes out well!

White Chocolate Heart Cake With Dark Chocolate Frosting

Hello crafters!

Valentine's Day is coming soon! Which also means it's time to finally start making & posting Valentine's Day inspired minis!

At the moment, I'm working on many new & free Valentine's Day templates (which will soon be posted). A few of these templates are planned to be miniature Valentine's Day cards, letters, and more! I can't wait to post them! But for now, I'm super excited to introduce another new member of the CCK miniature family! Let's welcome, White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Frosting Heart Cake!

I actually just made this cake a few days ago. Had made it using white air dry clay. As much as I love air-dry clay, there are some drawbacks whenever you forget how fast it can dry & harden, such as: forgetting to flake a cake. That's actually what happened with this cake! Was making a few other cakes at the same time & by the time I realized that it wasn't flaked, it had already been a few days late. Lets just assume it's a creamy-white-chocolate icing filled cake.

It was pretty easy to make. Made the cake into a heart from using a mold. Whenever I took the white clay out of the mold, I cut out the cake slice and frosted the outside with a delicious chocolate color. Finally, I sprinkled a few chocolate sprinkles on top!

Miniatures WIP Cakes, Cookies, Cupcakes, & Smoothies

Good morning crafters!

After hours of crafting, I'm super excited to finally take a break and show a few pictures of some new minis that I'm working on!

For the last few hours, I've been using mostly white clay to make tons of different mini dessert food! It becomes very easy to loose track of time while using clay. Luckily I finally got myself to take a break from clay . . .

So of course like every weekend, I'm crafting some type of giant craft for a challenge on the app, Crafty Amino, which of course, I'm doing today too! Planning on making a beautiful ice cake, still have to paint and decorate it though. After that, I started making tons of other minis! Including 13 cakes, cookies, 5 cupcakes, and 4 cookies & cream smoothies..

None of these crafts have been finished yet, still have to paint everything. I hope you like them so far! 

Dollhouse Miniature Cherry Cheesecake

Hello crafters!

If you read my last post, then you might remember that I had made my mini orange cake during the same time that I created my pastel rainbow cake.  During that night & the day before I had created a few other cakes too!

So here with us today is my new mini cherry cheesecake!! It seems like my dolls keep asking me for cheesecakes, but actually, I tend to have a ton of almost dry, chunky red paint left after making some new crafts and decide to use it for cheesecakes! 

Anyways, I made the cheesecake by adding white clay into a bottom cheesecake mold. Once I took it out, I painted the bottom piece with a beige color. After that, I added beads to the red Puffy Paint mix & mixed everything together to color the beads.  Finally, I added the mixture on top of the cheesecake bottom & dripped red suncatcher paint on top of it to make it shiny.

Miniature Rainbow Pastel Cake

I just love beautiful pastel colors so much that I had to participate in this weekend's challenge on the app Crafty Amino!  I actually love all pastel colors, so my favorite pastel color would probably be rainbow pastels!  So that's why I had decided to make a . . . . . . . . . . Miniature Rainbow Pastel Cake! 

I started work on it late Friday night.  Was planning to post it yesterday, but I had stayed up late so I didn't wake up as early as expected.

Anyways, I made it out of white clay & used my needle tool to flake the cake.  Next, I painted each and every cake layer with sun catcher paints.  After coloring the layers, I re-flaked the cake.  Did this twice to the cake so it would look more realistic.  After I finished flaking the inside, I started making the pastel pink frosting!  To make the frosting, I had mixed white Puffy Paint, Pink Sun catcher paint, and white Simulation Cream.  Then, I spread the frosting all over the cake & cake piece.  Finally, I added pastel sprinkles on top!

This cake was so fun to make!  I hope you liked it!

Aladdin Inspired MIniature Cake

Hello crafters!

This weekend there was an Arabian Nights-themed craft challenge on the app, Crafty Amino, so I just had to participate! The first idea that came to my mind was the Disney movie Aladdin. I really wanted to challenge myself for this challenge so I decided to make an Aladdin inspired miniature cake!

I made a 2 layer light blue frosting cake with some golden chocolate frosting on parts of the blue frosting. I also added Princess Jasmine on a magic carpet & a genie lamp in front. Finally, I added some gold and silver diamond, and silver star decorations to represent the night.

 Started working on it during Friday afternoon and just finished it a few minutes ago. The cake is about 3 centimeters tall (a little taller than an inch), which made it much harder to add so much detail for something so small.

Throwback Crafts - First Blueberry Cake

Hello crafters!

It is so amazing to see how much improvement you can make within just a few months!  While hoping to make even more improvement with my crafts & tutorials this year, for the next few days I will be posting some of my older throwback crafts that I ended up never posting.

In this post, we have a delicious miniature blueberry cake!

To make it, I used some blue air-dry clay.  If I remember correctly, I got some light blue clay with some pieces of dark blue clay & flattened it out.  Next, I covered the cake with the clay to make it look like blueberry frosting.  I had also tried adding some blueberry decorations on top.

Think I could do much better on the decorations and the flaking now.  It seems pretty well for one of my first clay cakes though!

Strawberry Confetti Cake

Good morning crafters!

The glitter unicorn has come to visit & has brought her brand new strawberry glitter confetti cake with tons of toppings!  I now wondering what a glitter unicorn would look like.  Maybe a glitter unicorn will have to be my next project!

But for now, I just finished this brand new strawberry glitter confetti cake a few days ago!  It took a few hours, but the sparkly glitter is so pretty!

I just used a heart foam piece for the base.  Next, I mixed pink, white and confetti glitter Puffy Paint for the icing.  I used a toothpick to spread on the icing.  After that, I added a few quick cake toppings on top, including strawberries, grapes, raspberries, and a few other toppings that I'm not exactly sure of what they technically are.  But, lets assume they are just decorations made out of doll cake fondant.

It was a pretty simple cake to make.  This was actually one of the first crafts that I used my new confetti glitter Puffy Paint on.  So excited to see what other crafts this beautiful confetti glitter might work with!

Tick Tock Black & White Clock Cake

Hello crafters!

So happy to finally post this brand new miniature cake which I started working on Saturday and finished it Sunday.  I was actually specifically making it for a Tick Tock crafts weekend challenge on the app, Crafty Amino.  A clock cake had automatically came into my mind along with the idea of Alice In Wonderland after I saw the challenge.  So that's what I decided to make!

I had originally drawn out a whole extravagant Alice in Wonderland, Clock cake idea.  It didn't work out as planned, so instead I stuck to a simple black & white clock cake.

First, I rolled out a ball of white clay, flattened it, and cut out a cake piece.  Next, I used a needle to flake the inside of the cake & cake piece.  It took about 30 minutes to flake, but turned out pretty impressive.  Once I had flaked the cake, I used a permanent black marker around the bottom inside the cake & cake piece to look like and Oreo cookie bottom crust.  Then, I used a mixture of Puffy Paint & Simulation cream on the outside of the cake.  After the first coat dried, I used the same black marker to draw on the clock numbers.  Then, I added another coat of whipped cream icing.

After that, I used black, confetti glitter and white Puffy Paint to paint the clock hands.  I also tried using it to give an almost 3D black & white effect in the middle of the cake.  The confetti glitter was mixed with Black Puffy Paint, so it might not be too visible in the pictures, but don't worry!  It is there!  Finally, I added 4 checker cookies to top off the cake!  The checker cookies were actually checker pieces I had leftover from when I made my Cheshire cat awhile ago.

Blueberry, Strawberry, Raspberry & Orange Fruit Cake

Hello crafters!

I'm super excited to finally post this delicious mini fruit cake cake, flavored with blueberry, strawberry, raspberry, and orange!

I'm pretty sure I could do much better now on this type of mini cake.  This was actually one of my first miniature cakes that I made a few years ago.

I had actually it made out of polymer clay.  Once it was cooked, I used acrylic paints to give it the pretty colors.  After that, I coated the cake.

Not exactly sure what flavors the cake was supposed to be, but I'm guessing it might've been blueberry, strawberry, raspberry & orange,

Merry Christmas Square Cake

Hello crafters!

Today I'm super excited to show a new mini I finished making a few days ago!  Remember my WIP Holiday Cakes I posted recently?  This is actually one of them!

After looking at images of some real cakes I noticed a few cakes with the text "Merry Christmas" written on them with icing.  So, it gave me the idea to make a similar one in mini size!

It was actually pretty easy to make. I just used a square top from a stamp to cut out the cake.  Next, I used a toothpick to engrave the text "Merry Christmas" on the cake.  After that, I painted the cake with red, white and green Puffy Paint.  Finally, I just waited for everything to dry.

Happy Eclipse

Here in U.S.A. it is a very exciting day! You might be wondering why today is so exciting. Well today an amazing Solar Eclipse is happening!

Of course anything exciting is very inspiring! So I just had to create a Solar Eclipse inspired miniature 1:12 scale cake. One half of the cake is dark blue (blueberry icing) with black tips (blackberry icing tips) to represent the moon, and a light yellow and orange color (peach icing) to represent the sun.

Just finished watching the awesome Eclipse!  Hope you like it and Happy Eclipse!

Chocolate Heart Cake

A few nights ago I stayed up all night creating creating some new miniature cakes!

It took a few hours to finish all the cakes I started working on but I ended up finishing a pretty good amount of mini cakes!

Below i have a few pictures of one of my newest mini cakes! I have to admit it`s one of my favorites out of the cakes I made a few days ago. I used Puffy Paint and Calk for the chocolate icing and added some cute little chocolates as a topping on it.

Chocolate inside, chocolate icing and chocolate toppings. Sounds pretty delicious! *only edible for dolls!
