MIniature Alligator - Finished!

Hello crafters!

You might remember an adorable miniature alligator that I had posted a WIP post on earlier in February. Either way, I'm super excited to say, I finally finished it a few days after the original WIP post.

Haven't found the time to post it over the last few weeks, but I'm super excited to finally reveal this adorable alligator! And . . . . . . . here she is!
Pretty awesome, right? Not too many changes have been made since the WIP post, but there are many details when looking closely at it.

For the scales of the alligator, I used a few different markers with a few different shades of green, along with green sun catcher paints to give the alligator more of a realistic look. Next, I used white & black Puffy Paint to lightly color the eyes. Then, I used some white Puffy Paint to paint the alligator's sharp teeth. Finally, I used a toothpick with green sun catcher to fix any extra mistakes.

Well, I hope you like this adorable alligator!

Miniature French Fries Made With Scrap Clay (Tutorial)

Hello crafters!

Normally, whenever I'm trying to make miniature french fries, I use a light yellow clay color and shape out each individual french fry. Due to not being able to work with clay for the past few days, I came up with a much quicker, easier way to make miniature french fries. Surprisingly, I actually like these french fries a little better than my normal ones.

In this craft, I'm using scrap clay to make the mini french fries. If and when you have worked with air-dry clay for a few months, a few scrap pieces of clay that have accidentally dried might start to accumulate.  As a tip for any other crafters reading this, never throw anything away. Scrap pieces of clay, plastic containers, scrap pieces of fabric, paper with writing on part of it, etc. All types of things can amazingly be used to make cool, new things.

So after a long intro, it's finally time for the tutorial part of this post!

HOW TO MAKE MINIATURE FRENCH FRIES:

What You'll Need:
- Yellow french fry colored piece of scrap clay
- Scissors

First, I cut off two small rectangle-shaped pieces of clay.

Next, I vertically sliced both pieces in half, now turning the two slices of clay into four slices of clay.

After that, I horizontally cut all four of the pieces in half. Once I finished doing this, there were now eight small slices of clay, also known as eight adorable mini fries.

Finally, I glued the mini fries together on a miniature plate. I added some ketchup, mustard, and a hot dog in a bun on the side!

I hope you liked this tutorial!

Working On A New Mini Cake . . . With My Eyes Closed!

Hello crafters!

Haven't posted in a few days due to being super busy making new miniature items & preparing them to be listed in my Ebay shop. But, I'm finally back!

Today I'm actually just about to work on another miniature cake. This time though, it's a bit different. After seeing a Truth or Dare crafting challenge on the app, Crafty Amino, I decided I just had to try some of the dares!

One of the dares were to try crafting something with your eyes closed, so that's exactly what I'm about to try! I'm planning to make a delicious dark chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and a strawberry on top! Just got together my paints, decorations, and a white cake to color.

A bit nervous, but super excited to see how long it will take me to accomplish this challenge with a perfectly pretty miniature cake. Hoping it comes out well!

Check back later for an update of how the finished cake turned out!

Dollhouse Miniature S'mores inspired Cake

Hello crafters!

"Ahh, a nice summer evening at the beach! So relaxing, but a sweet treat would just make it so much better!" said Barbie.  If that's what your dolls are also thinking, don't fear! Sweets are finally here!

Lately, I've been working on a variety of new cakes & have been trying to see how unusual, while still realistic, I can make them. Whenever I saw this weekend's challenge, Beach Crafts on the app, Crafty Amino, it looked so fun that I just had to try making a cake inspired by the beach!

After hours of thinking, I thought of the perfect idea! A campfire at the beach inspired cake. Which is what brought me to making a delicious miniature s'mores cake!

Inside the cake are 3 layers of graham cracker and 3 layers of chocolate. Next, we go to the outside of the cake where there is some delicious chocolate marshmallow frosting. Finally, to top it all off, I added 4 pieces of a broken up s'more on top with a few marshmallow sprinkles! Or, if we translate this into craft language . . .

To make the cake, I used white air-dry clay. Recently I made a large batch of plain white cakes so whenever I have time, I could decorate them. To get the colors, I used black, yellow, white, orange, and red Puffy paint along with white simulation cream. Once I had mixed the colors perfectly to get a graham-cracker-beige color, melted-marshmallow-white color, and a chocolate-brown color, I started painting the cake. I painted the inside layers to look like graham cracker & chocolate. Next, I used a toothpick to frost the cake with chocolate icing. I slightly swirled a bit of the graham cracker color and white marshmallow paint on areas of the frosting to make it look like a chocolate marshmallow frosting. Finally, I used an extra s'more which I had made a while ago, broke it into four different pieces, and placed the pieces on the cake. I also broke up a few pieces of white clay and sprinkled it on the top to look like marshmallow sprinkles.

Voila! A perfect sweet treat for a campfire at the beach! I hope you like it!

Delicious Mini Brownies With Chocolate Sprinkles

Hello crafters!

Today I'm super excited to post these adorable mini chocolate sprinkle brownies that I made a few weeks ago!

I used white air dry clay to create them. I had made them by adding white clay into the little ceramic dish & shaping a separate piece of white clay into a square. Next, I mixed a few Puffy Paint colors with sun catcher paints to make a thin chocolate brown paint. Then, I used a toothpick to paint the brownies. I flaked the inside of the brownies & the brownie on the side using the same toothpick that I used to paint them so the inside would be fully brown instead of white. After that, I sprinkled chopped pieces of chocolate colored clay on top of the brownies to look like sprinkles. Finally, I used a needle tool to add lines on the top of the brownies to look like if they were being cut into separate brownie squares.

Well, I hope you like these delicious brownies!

Disney Descendants 3 Inspired MIni Cake

Hello crafters!

I'm super excited to finally post this new & delicious mini cake that I just finished making Saturday!

This cake is actually inspired by Disney's Descendants. After Disney confirmed a third Descendants movie this past Friday, which is scheduled to premiere in 2019, I decided to use it as the theme for one of the mini cakes I was working on! Though, since there is not much information about the movie yet, it was a bit challenging to come up with a cake idea.

After deciding to come up with the idea as I went along, I decided to give the cake purple grape frosting, with golden icing dripping dow,n and an apple with a number 3 written on it on top! The pink inside of the cake was an accident and was originally planned to be white. It changed to pink when a dot of red acrylic paint accidentally got on the inside of the cake & I had tried to fix it with white Puffy Paint.

Have to admit, not my best mini cake. Not a fan of the strawberry inside & the apple seems a bit sloppy, but hopefully, my next Descendants inspired mini cake will look much better!

Well, I hope you like it!

Stir-Fry Prep Board!

Hello crafters!

I'm so excited to finally post one of my brand new prep boards!

This is actually one of my favorites out of all of the prep boards that I've recently made. I decided to make this prep board inspired by making a delicious stir-fry. In the pot, you can notice some delicious carrots, beef, celery & other seasonings frying. Next, to the pot, there are some delicious yellow peppers, garlic, red peppers, beef, lime slices, and some celery being cut up with a mini knife!

To start off, I made the clear prep board bottom by cutting out a square of plastic out of a Q-Tip container. Next, I created the mini pot out of paper & Puffy Paint. Then, I made the beef, carrots, and seasonings out of orange, brown, red, and green scrap clay. After that, I made the little knife out of foil & used my fingers to shape it into a knife shape. Finally, I cut off a few pieces of the mini celery to make it look like it had been cut up with the mini knife & glued everything to the prep board.

Didn't make the celery, lime slices, yellow peppers, garlic or red peppers. They were just a few extra mini foods that happened to fit perfectly into the scene.

Will be posting a tutorial showing how to make a miniature pot like the one on the prep board, so make sure to check back soon!

Well, I hope you like it!

Miniature WIP Alligator

Hello crafters!

This morning, I'm super excited to finally post a new craft that I'm in the middle of working on.  One of the crafts that I'm working on is . . .

A miniature alligator! Never thought I would actually be trying to make one since there are so many details needed. I'm actually pretty impressed by it so far.

To make it, I used white air-dry clay to just easily shape the alligator face, mouth, body, and tail. Made the legs separate & had glued them on. Alligator tail accidentally broke a few times, but no worries! I glued the tailback every time & it healed!

Although rare, white alligators exist, I decided to make & paint it as a green alligator. Once the clay was dry, I painted it with one coat of green sun catcher paint. Next, I tried drawing on the back of the mini alligator with a marker & then re-coated the alligator with more sun catcher paint.

Not finished yet, still have a lot to finish on it including eyes, teeth details, and other extra details. Might also try making a habitat for it.

Well, I hope you like this beautiful alligator so far!

White Chocolate Heart Cake With Dark Chocolate Frosting

Hello crafters!

Valentine's Day is coming soon! Which also means it's time to finally start making & posting Valentine's Day inspired minis!

At the moment, I'm working on many new & free Valentine's Day templates (which will soon be posted). A few of these templates are planned to be miniature Valentine's Day cards, letters, and more! I can't wait to post them! But for now, I'm super excited to introduce another new member of the CCK miniature family! Let's welcome, White Chocolate, Dark Chocolate Frosting Heart Cake!

I actually just made this cake a few days ago. Had made it using white air dry clay. As much as I love air-dry clay, there are some drawbacks whenever you forget how fast it can dry & harden, such as: forgetting to flake a cake. That's actually what happened with this cake! Was making a few other cakes at the same time & by the time I realized that it wasn't flaked, it had already been a few days late. Lets just assume it's a creamy-white-chocolate icing filled cake.

It was pretty easy to make. Made the cake into a heart from using a mold. Whenever I took the white clay out of the mold, I cut out the cake slice and frosted the outside with a delicious chocolate color. Finally, I sprinkled a few chocolate sprinkles on top!

I hope you like it!

Use Scrap Clay To Make Shredded Carrots - Tutorial

Hello crafters!

Over the last few days, I've been having tons of fun creating miniature prep boards! Will soon be posting all of the recent prep boards that I've made, but for now, I have created another tutorial to show you all!

In one of my recent mini prep boards that I was working on, I was making a stir-fry. I wanted to have some shredded carrots in my stir-fry but, since I wasn't in the mood to work with clay, I came up with a way to make mini shredded carrots with scrap clap!

If you have seen some of my other posts then you probably know that I mainly work with air-dry clay. Over time, I tend to have pieces of clay that I accidentally leave out and end up hardening. Instead of throwing them out, I normally keep all dried scrap pieces of clay inside a specific bin just in case I need them.

After trying to come up with an idea of how to make carrots without working with clay, I decided to try using an orange piece of scrap clay.

Photo of how the finished product looked.

These shredded carrots were actually very simple to make. Here's how I made these delicious, non-edible, miniature carrots:

First, I cut off a tiny slice of some bright orange clay.

Next, I cut that slice of orange clay in half.

After that, I cut the new slice of orange in half again.

Then, I cut the piece into another half.

Finally, I added the mini shredded clay carrots into the stir fry that I was creating!

With just a tiny slice of orange clay, it's pretty easy to make many shredded carrots.

I hope you liked this tutorial!

Miniature Icy Snow Cake

Hello crafters!

This weekend on the app, Crafty Amino, there was a super cool snow day crafts challenge. Was super fun, but for some reason, it was pretty hard for me to come up with a craft idea this challenge. Luckily, I finally came up with an idea. A few ideas actually, but let's focus on this craft for now!

Due to hurting my finger, It took a few extra hours to make this craft and sadly does not have as much detail as I had wanted.

Anyways, I'm super excited to show you all this brand new icy snow cake I just finished making! The cake has beautiful while icing on it, whipped cream on top, snowy sprinkles, and an ice crown! First, I made the cake out of white clay, cut out the cake piece, and flaked the inside of the cake and cake piece. Next, I made the white icing by mixing white and silver glitter Puffy Paint with a bit of white Simulation cream. Then, I spread the icing on the cake and cake piece. After that, I added a few decorations on top. I was also testing a new project to see if I could pour liquid glue into a cupcake mold and, once it was dry, take it out and use it as the bottom of a cupcake. I had ended up trying to take out the glue before it was dry and since it didn't finish drying, the piece of glue looked almost like a crown. Finally, I trimmed the piece up a bit and glued it on top of the cake

I hope you like it!

MIniature Light Red Velvet Chocolate Frosting Bundt Cake

Hello crafters!

Luckily I've had a bit of extra time to post some much-needed-to-be-posted posts today since crafting so much yesterday left me some time to take a small, much needed, break! It seems more & more impossible to catch up on posts from making so many crafts, tutorials, and templates, but don't worry! I'll always be trying to post as many crafts as possible!

With us today is a beautiful miniature light red velvet chocolate frosting bundt cake! I actually made it back during December 2017, even though I never got the time to post it!

I had used white air-dry clay to make this beautiful cake! Took awhile to get the bundt cake shape perfect, but after awhile of shaping the cake, it turned out perfect. Then, I cut out a cake slice & flaked the inside of the cake & the cake slice. Could do much better on the flaking now, not exactly a fan of flaking though. After that, I mixed tons of Puffy Paint colors to make a maroon/brown chocolate-looking color. Finally, I used a toothpick to add the chocolate-looking Puffy Paint frosting onto the cake and the cake slice.

I hope you like it!

Mini Ham & Cheese Sandwiches

Hello crafters!

I recently made these delicious miniature cheese and ham sandwiches. Was planning to post them awhile ago but had forgotten!

To make these, I got 6 pieces of beige clay & shaped each of them into a triangle shape. I did the same thing with 3 pieces of orange clay & pink clay around the same size. Afterwards, I placed one of the triangle pink pieces on top of one of the beige pieces of clay. Then, I placed an orange piece on top & added another beige piece on top.  Finally, I just shaped the sandwich a little more.
,
Well, that was pretty much it!  I hope you like it!

Dollhouse Miniature Cherry Cheesecake

Hello crafters!

If you read my last post, then you might remember that I had made my mini orange cake during the same time that I created my pastel rainbow cake.  During that night & the day before I had created a few other cakes too!

So here with us today is my new mini cherry cheesecake!! It seems like my dolls keep asking me for cheesecakes, but actually, I tend to have a ton of almost dry, chunky red paint left after making some new crafts and decide to use it for cheesecakes!

Anyways, I made the cheesecake by adding white clay into a bottom cheesecake mold. Once I took it out, I painted the bottom piece with a beige color. After that, I added beads to the red Puffy Paint mix & mixed everything together to color the beads.  Finally, I added the mixture on top of the cheesecake bottom & dripped red suncatcher paint on top of it to make it shiny.

I hope you like it!
