Hello crafters!
A few days ago you might remember when I made a post showing a leopard stocking I had recently made. Well a few days after that, I decided to try working on a leopard santa hat!
As I had mentioned in the post, I had made the stocking to look like a real one I own. I had actually also made this leopard santa hat inspired by an actual leopard santa hat which I also own! I think it seems pretty obvious that I'm a fan of leopard print fabric.
Anyways, onto this mini hat!
To make it, I did basically the same as the stocking and just cut out the shapes. First, I cut off a strip of leopard fabric & two small triangle shapes out of the red felt. Next, I just sewed some leopard fabric onto one side one of the triangular pieces of red felt. I did the same step to the other piece of felt.
After that, I used brown thread to sew the leopard part of the triangle pieces together. Used red thread to sew the red felt together so the thread wouldn't be noticeable. Then, I just used a bit of leftover leopard fabric, and just started sewing the ends to the pointy red felt. Finally, I just kept sewing until it became a ball-like shape.
Well that's pretty much it! Took about 2 hours to make. For the first time ever creating any type of mini hat out of fabric, I think it turned out pretty good!
I hope you like it!
Just a few pictures while I was making it:
