Hello crafters!
Super sorry I haven't posted any new posts for a few days! Internet was out for the past few days, but luckily it gave me many hours to craft new crafts, and a create few new tutorials!
Well, this craft is actually one I created over the last few days. Since the holidays will soon be here, myself & the dolls are already preparing!
I tried creating some delicious Christmas cookies! They turned out pretty well. I made them using white clay. A few cookies I used molds for, and others I just shaped. When they were finished, I painted each cookie.
A little bit of info, a photo of the cookies, but lets really look at each cookie!
I really loved this cookie. I was originally planning to just make a simple candy cane and flatten it, but I ended up trying to make it like all of the other cookies. I used white clay, and shaped it into a flat cane shape. Once the clay was dry, I used red & white Puffy Paint to paint it. Even though the clay was already white, I used white Puffy Paint to make the cookie look like it has icing on the top since Puffy Paint tends to dry a bit shiny.
Now onto . . . .
This cookie was actually the last cookie of the six cookies. I made it by using the white clay and shaped it. It was more of a ball but I flattened one side of it and used a toothpick to cut into part of it to turn it into a full mitten! Of course I then painted it with gold metallic and red Puffy Paint.
Next, lets talk to . . .
The beautiful star always tops off the Christmas tree! So for this cookie, I decided to try creating a star cookie. I actually used a mold for this one though. Once it dried, I painted it with gold glitter Puffy Paint. I just love a glittery mini food!
Next cookie is . . .
All of my gingerbread cookies are so much fun! Sadly I used a mold for this cookie too. I was making so many gingerbread friends that I had to have a mold for everyone! . . . Anyways, when it was dry, I painted the white gingerbread with an almost beige Puffy Paint. (I got the color by mixing white and brown.) Finally, I used a toothpick to paint on the red icing, eyes, buttons, and mouth!
The tree is here! . . .
The Christmas Tree Cookie
This cookie looks so delicious! I actually made it by using white clay & shaping it into a triangle shape. Next, I used a needle tool and started trying to give the cookie some texture. Finally. I painted it with green and red Puffy Paint. Used green for the tree and red as the Christmas lights.
Last cookie!
The Snowman cookie
This cookie was so fun, and very easy to make! I just rolled three balls of white clay and flattened them out. Then, I added a face with black Puffy Paint. I broke up an old dried piece of orange clay to make make the carrot nose.
